The African Burial Ground Interpretive Center in the Ted Weiss Federal Office Building in lower Manhattan is adjacent to the African Burial Ground Memorial. Providing a visitor’s center for those looking for answers to understand who is buried in the burial ground, the architects designed space to set the tone and provide backdrops, displays, and meeting spaces to unwrap this story.
